Heritage

The Bowland Clothing Company has been born out of a desire to produce a high quality garment that fulfils the needs of our customers and also meets their expectations in terms of specification and performance.

The garment has to stand the rigors of every-day use and yet still look stylish and reflect the values of the countryside in which it must perform. The “Forest of Bowland” as you are probably aware is one of the most beautiful areas of the UK and if you are in the know, has been one of the Queen’s favourite areas for some years. When she last visited some three years ago, she based herself at “The Inn at Whitewell” and visited some of the farms in the Hodder Valley. She is attributed as saying that the view of the “Hodder Valley” from “Cow Ark” is as beautiful as anything at Balmoral. Without doubt the Forest of Bowland has been and is, one of the best kept secrets, of people who love to appreciate this special corner of Lancashire and Yorkshire. Which has not been spoilt by over commercialisation and yet is close to the motorway network.
